simple, alternate, 1.5-3" long by 1.25-2.5 wide, cordate to heart shaped, an oblique base, dark green with yellow fall foliage
Dimensions
30-45 feet plus high by 20-30 feet spread
Misc Facts
The wood is light and used for carving and inner bark is used to make baskets. There are many good cultivars (over 20) that are better than the species for landscape purposes.
