Author's Notes | Although I have not grown this particular plant, I have grown some different cultivars of the tender perennial Salvia. All have a long bloom season and are easy to grow. As the season starts to wind down and there becomes less light both in intensity and duration, the flowering of these plants becomes much less. They will have a long raceme with only a few flowers toward the apex. In colder zones, it is probably too late to prune back to increase the number of flowers. |
