Description

Tururu Marigold (Tagetes erecta) A plant found growing on the island of Pemba east Africa.  Tall with mostly orange but also some yellow flowers.

Flowersdouble, mostly orange with some yellow, grew 6 plants in 2020 all were orange except for a branch on one that was yellow, flowers are not as neat and pretty as other Marigolds, seems to be a bit disheveled at times

DimensionsMy plants were growing in two areas. The ones in the lower gardens which receive additional moisture from the cattail marsh were over 4 feet with a 2.5-foot spread. Plants in the upper garden reached 36-40 inches tall.
MaintenanceWill need to be staked. The plants in the lower moisture garden all had stem cracking at the base and flopped.
