Maintenance | Some Weigela will have some winter kill on their branches and need some clean-up in the spring. Prune after the plants are done blooming. At condo project I worked at the Weigela were pruned by the lawn service in the fall, cutting off the outer more plentiful flower buds. The only flowers appearing on these plants next year were from the flower buds that were inside of the plant and were missed by the pruning process. |
