When removing this shrub from the landscape you most treat the cut stem with a herbicide to prevent suckering or pull out the stump. If the shrubs were in a location for a long time there will be a seed bank and seedling will appear for many years. Easy to pull when they are young.
Propagation
seeds, cuttings
Misc Facts
Used extensively since the 1950's. Once again this is an invasive species and should not be used in the landscape.
Author's Notes
Although listed as invasive I have only seen it in the wild once. Very easy to distinguish from its cousins by the narrow upright growth habit.
