Maintenance | Geraniums can develope edema. This is water-soaked spots on the underside of the leaf. With time these areas will develope a corky appearance. This is not a disease but a cultural problem from over watering during times when the plants are not transpiring (loosing) much water. Most Geraniums benefit from pinching or pruning during the growing season to keep the plant to size. |
Propagation | cuttings |
Native Site | Native to frost free areas of the southern hemisphere. |
Misc Facts | The name pelargonium is derived from the Greek word "pelargos" meaning stork beak. The seed head or fruit has the shape of a beak. AKA: Geranium Orange Appeal Geranium Rocky Mountain Pink, Geranium Fantasia Strawberry, Geranium Eclipse Light Salmon |
