Maintenance
After blooming and the foliage starts to deteriorate, cut back to a few inches off the ground. They will respond with a new flush of foliage and a lesser but a second bloom. This is how I maintain the Salvia of these types in my gardens.

After growing this for a few years, it seems to be winter hardy but not as aggressive and robust as the Salvia May Night it is growing with.
