Discover growing in the mountains of the upper Drina River Valley in Yugoslavia in 1872. Has been in North American commerce since around 1900.
Author's Notes
I have seen this plant with glaucous blue new growth and others just green growth. I don't know if this is a variable characteristic or just the time of the year.
