A short Astilbe with pink flowers. Forms a thick mat of foliage making it a good candidate for a shady ground cover.

All Plants, Perennials Hardy

Sunlight
semi-shade to shade, I have found that deeper shade causes the flowers to become less tightly packed, taller with a faded color
Moisture
Tolerates drier conditions than most other Astilbe but still prefers moist. I have grown this for years in a spot that gets very little additional water. Although a little slower growing and not as many flowers it still was an excellent plant.
Soil & Site
average to moist
Flowers
lavender pink or mauve-pink panicles bore on stiff upright stems, mid to late summer
