Green Mountain Boxwood (Buxus) is a dense upright growing Boxwood forming a natural cone shaped. Does good in full sun or some shade.

MaintenanceI like to shear the plants after the new foliage has hardened. If you shear to early, a lot of the new growth will be missed because it still may not have extended.

Cultivar OriginThe Green Velvet is one of a group of plants that were selected from a group of open pollinated plants at the Sheridan Nursery in Oakville, Ontario 1960. The plants were selected and released in the 1970's.
Author's NotesI live in hardiness zone #5 and have planted many of these in the landscape. They have proven to be a hardy Boxwood.
