blooms better in the cooler weather as opposed to the hot and dry
Flowers
vibrant purple, seems to bloom forever
Leaves
trailing, creeping
Dimensions
6-12 inches tall, 24 inch spread, trailing
Maintenance
Although the newer cultivars are resistant to many of problems they are still susceptible to powdery mildew, white fly and spider mites. I have grown this plant on a few occasions and it seems to be very resistant to mildew, but when brought indoors it has the normal white fly problem. They can be over wintered in a bright cool window. Cut the plants back, re-pot and make sure the pests are controlled.
Propagation
seeds, cuttings
Author's Notes
