'Painted Lady' Runner Bean (Phaseolus coccineus) An old fashion, vigorous vine with red-orange and white flowers. Crispy bean-flavored blossoms and flat green pods are edible and can be used as dried beans. This section contains additional images of Painted Lady growing on a cast iron arch in my garden. A great Hummingbird attractor.

FlowersThey had lots of flowers until they started producing beans. After bean production stopped, they made a few more flowers in the early fall. Did attract hummingbirds.
