Author's NotesAlthough I have not grown this particular plant, I have grown some different cultivars of the tender perennial Salvia. All have a long season of bloom and are on the easy side to grow. As the season starts to wind down and there becomes less light both in intensity and duration, the flowering of these plants becomes much less. You will end up with a long raceme with only a few flowers toward the apex. At this point in colder zones it is probably to late to prune back to increase the number of flowers.
