Description

'Summer Wine' Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius) A smaller version of the larger growing Diabolo Ninebark.  Has dark burgundy foliage and white, pinkish flowers followed by ornamental red seed pods.

Author's NotesThe more sun these plants get, the darker the foliage color. The one in my yard is in the full, hot sun and has an intense burgundy foliage color. This is one of my favorite shrubs. It was planted in 2007, which makes it 15 years old as of 2022
